Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT ARE THE NUMBERS AFTER THE GRAM WEIGHT ON MY SHAFT?
While many golf shaft companies have different ways to identify flex, we use a number and letter system; 1(ONE) is a light/ladies flex- sometimes label “L”, 2(TWO) is an Amateur flex, or A-flex. 3(THREE) is a Regular flex, R-flex, and 4(FOUR) is a stiff, or S-flex. A 5(FIVE) is an X-flex, which is an extra stiff flex and sometimes addressed TS or TX.
For example, A Nemesys 65-FOUR has a gram weight of approx. 65, and is a Stiff flex. A Nemesys 65-THREE is a regular flex.
While a Slay 55R and Vylyn 55R are both 55gram and a regular flex, they will have a different bend profile, and you will see different performance from both despite the similarities in weight and flex.
Is my shaft warrantied?
VA Shafts are only eligible for 1-year warranty through the authorized dealer that it was purchased from, and within a year from the purchase date. We require all our dealers to provide photo documentation with their warranty request so that we can cross examine any splintering or breaks for quality-assurance purposes and so that we may continue to provide you the best golf shafts on the market. We do not warranty after-market or second shafts.
How Can I get my own VA SHAFT?
With more that 400 dealer locations internationally, our shafts are available almost everywhere. We do not sell direct to consumer, but we certify all of our dealers’ fitter so that they can best address your playing style and pair you with a VA shaft that will best complement and elevate your game. You can find a dealer nearest you using our Dealer Search portal in the “PURCHASE” tab on our website.
WHat are the difference between shafts?
Per tab, you can find the spec for each shaft including weights, flex, trajectory and launch, but if you need help quickly comparing the different lines within the VA arsenal, look to our Shaft Comparison Guide in the “SHAFT LINES” tab of our page to better help you navigate and narrow down best options for you, or get fit at a certified VA dealer near you to take away the guess work!
WHat if my golf shafts breaks?
Under conditions of normal playing and use, and when within a year of purchase from an authorized VA dealer, we issue warranties for our customers to get you back on the green as soon as possible. If your golf shafts splinters, breaks, snaps, etc. please return it to your certified dealer and fitters for them to submit the warranty to us. We only issue warranties through out authorized dealers.
